ACACIA TREE MEMORIAL PLAQUE REQUEST

An Acacia Tree Memorial Plaque donation of $60 is requested per plaque. If you would like a plaque on behalf of a deceased love one, please complete the Acacia Tree Memorial Plaque Request form or call the parish office directly to make your request.

After completing the form online, you may also pay online or place a check in the mail. Upon receipt of payment, your Acacia Tree Memorial Plaque will be ordered. DEACON IRVIN STEWART MEMORIAL ACACIA TREE

 

The Acacia Tree is referred to in Exodus 25:10-16. The wood of the Acacia Tree, native to Africa, was used in building the Ark of the Covenant. It has deep roots and survived drought and famine. A large strong tree, it was used as a symbol for Catholics of African descent at the 1st National Black Catholic Congress in 1894.
